Valdosta, GA, United States

Built in 1924, this home once served as the carriage house for the Presbyterian parsonage, sheltering horse-drawn carriages and standing witness to a century of change. Nearly lost to demolition, it was rescued and carefully restored with respect for its story and original craftsmanship. Historic details remain—like the bedroom doors brought back to natural wood—blended with warm, thoughtful design that preserves spirit of the past. We look forward to sharing this piece of history with you.

I was traveling with my girlfriend and this was the first time we had taken a road trip together. Valdosta was an overnight stop on our trip - I was a little bit nervous that I would pick out a place that would be acceptable to a discerning woman as I am a dude prone to overlook things that she might not. The place was perfect and I felt like I had done a good job. It was so peaceful and clean, truly felt like we were staying in a deluxe hotel room. It’s very private, set back from the road and in a pleasant neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees … and lots of birds. Less than a five minute drive to downtown Valdosta and an overall perfect place to hang your hat if you are driving Route 75 and want an enjoyable place to stay over the lame chain motels along route 75. A great value for money and a lovely place to spend the night.

We really enjoyed staying in the Carriage House. It was beautifully furnished and very peaceful. I felt right at home and did not want to leave the property. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. I would highly recommend this property for a short or long stay, and I will definitely book it again on my next visit.

What a lovely stay in The Carriage House. The space was clean, cozy, and the amenities were of high quality. All the cooking and baking essentials were there, with easy access to a grocery store as well. We felt right at home. Rachel was very responsive when we had a question about the hot water, and proactive in checking with us about halfway through our stay. Cozy beds, great space, and would definitely stay again!
